智萌眼中的孩子
The view of children in Gem
（1）孩子是社會的一份子，是社會與文化的參與者，是歷史的演出者，也是文化的創(chuàng)造者，孩子有權(quán)利發(fā)表自己的看法，與成人一樣，擁有獨特權(quán)利的個體。
The
child is a member of society, is the social and cultural participants, is the
performer of the history , but also the the creator of the culture , the child has the right to express their
views, like adults, has unique rights of individuals.
（2）孩子是主動學(xué)習(xí)者，在入學(xué)之前就已經(jīng)擁有了一定的知識、經(jīng)驗。他們有獨特的學(xué)習(xí)方式。
Children
are active learners, before entering the school they already have some certain knowledge, experience, they have
a unique way of learning.
（3）孩子具有巨大的潛能，他們并非只有單純的需求，他們富有好奇心、創(chuàng)造性、具有可塑性。他們有著強烈的學(xué)習(xí)、探索和了解周圍世界的愿望，他們是在與外部世界的相互作用中主動地建構(gòu)自己的知識與經(jīng)驗，主動地尋求對這個復(fù)雜世界的理解。
The children have great potentials they do not just have a simple demand, they are full of curiosity, creativity, with plasticity. They have strong learning, and exploration desire to understand the world around, they are in the interaction with the outside world .they actively construct their own knowledge and experience, they take the initiative to seek the understanding of the complex world.
（4）孩子是堅強的，他們有能力擔當自我成長過程的主角，孩子之間盡管有著一定的差異，但他們都試圖通過與別人的對話、互動與協(xié)議來找到自己的定位，找到與別人的共同點與不同點。

differences from others .They are trying to find their own position through dialogue , interaction
and cooperation with others so as
to find their similarities and
differences from others.
（5）兒童天生都是藝術(shù)家，他們能夠廣泛運用各種不同的象征語言和其他媒介來表達自己對世界的認識。
Children
are born to be artists, they can use a variety of different symbolic language
and other media to express their own understanding of the world.
智萌教師對教育的看法
Teachers’ Views of Education
（1）教育的目標就是創(chuàng)造一個和諧的環(huán)境，使在這個環(huán)境中的每一位孩童、教師都感到自在、愉悅，生活得幸福。教育并不僅僅追求什么外在的目標，而是更多地注重內(nèi)在的品質(zhì)。教育要發(fā)展幼兒的創(chuàng)造力。
The education goal is to create a harmonious environment, so that every child and teacher in this environment feel comfortable, pleasant and happy . Education is not only in the pursuit of the superficial goals, but it has more emphasis on the inherent quality. Education should develop children's creativity.
（2）在教學(xué)方法上，智萌教師反對傳統(tǒng)的單向灌輸，反對把語言文字作為獲取知識的捷徑，他們認為教育就是要為孩童帶來更多的可能性去創(chuàng)新和發(fā)現(xiàn)，教育在于給孩童創(chuàng)設(shè)學(xué)習(xí)的情境，幫助孩童在與情境中的人、事、物相互作用的過程中主動建構(gòu)知識。
For the teaching methods, Gem teachers are against
traditional one-way teaching method. We are also opposed that the language is a shortcut to acquire
knowledge. They think that education is for children to bring more
possibilities to innovate and discover.Education lies in creating a learning
situation for children, help children construct their own knowledge through the
interaction with people、things in the situations.
（3）教育應(yīng)以孩童為中心，應(yīng)從孩童的興趣、需要及經(jīng)驗出發(fā)。兒童在教育過程中和課程決策上應(yīng)有參與與發(fā)表意見的機會。但這并非意味著絕對孩童中心主義，除孩童以外，教師與家長在孩童教育上也扮演重要的角色，起重要的作用。
Education should be focused on children. It is from the children's interest, needs and experience . Children has opportunities to participate and express their views in the process of education and decision-making of curriculum . But this does not mean absolute child centered, besides children, teachers and parents also play an important role in the education for children.
（4）智萌認為在“教”與“學(xué)”兩者之間，更應(yīng)尊重后者，所以智萌是“以學(xué)定教”。
Gem believes that in "teaching" and "learning" ,we should respect the latter, so in Gem "teaching is decided by learning .
（5）“與其牽著孩童的手，倒不如讓他們靠自己的雙腳站立?！痹诤⑼奶剿鬟^程中，教師應(yīng)掌握正確的時機，適當?shù)亟槿?，協(xié)助孩童發(fā)現(xiàn)問題，幫助孩童提出問題。

feet." in the exploration process of children, teachers should grasp the
right opportunity, appropriate intervention,
help children to raise questions.
環(huán)境是孩子的第三位老師

In the past. Meng Zi’s mother, choose the neighborhood." it reveals the importance of environment. From birth to elementary school, this period is extremely important for children’s mental ans physical development . Children's language, sensory, movement, culture and sense of orders and habits, are all establishment and developed in the critical period. Gem’s mission is to create more suitable environment for their growth and provide more scientific, more professional guidance.to find their interests and hobbies, to help them establish their international vision and thinking, while maintaining the unique Chinese culture and self-cultivation.
如果說，父母是孩子的第一位老師，學(xué)校老師是第二位老師，那么智萌為孩子提供的環(huán)境則是孩子的第三位老師。
If we say that parents are the children's first teacher, the school teacher is the second teacher, thene environment provided by Gem is the children's third teacher.

智萌幼兒園，不設(shè)電腦課，班級里沒有視頻監(jiān)控、沒有電視，不鼓勵孩子看電視，不提倡孩童過早的學(xué)習(xí)電腦。電腦當然要學(xué)，但不是在幼兒期，而是學(xué)齡后，因為技術(shù)雖給人類帶來了方便，也給人類帶來了懶惰乃至不思進取。
Educational environment nearly without science and technology
Gem preschool does
not have the computer class. The class is without cameras and TVS.We do
not encourage children to watch TV, do
not promote learning computer in early year education. Of course,Computer needs
to be learned, but not in the period of
early childhood. It should be put off to latter years for children, because
although the technology brings to human being convenience, it also brings
laziness and complacency for humans.
我們期盼通過種種努力使孩子們獲取一種“平衡”，或至少讓他們明白：動手動腦其樂無窮，而且即使科學(xué)技術(shù)發(fā)展至頂級時期，人們?nèi)孕枰獜氖略S多極原始、極平凡的活動。
We are looking forward to enabling children to obtain more balance through a variety of efforts ,or at least make them understand that using hand and brain makes a lot fun , even science and technology are developed to top period, people still need to engage in a lot of very primitive, very ordinary activities.

Parents paly an important role in children’s education
智萌重視家長在孩童教育中的參與，認為家長參與教育既是權(quán)利也是責(zé)任。智萌積極推動家園互動，以保證教育的完整性。通過智萌家園協(xié)會，定期安排家長與教師見面，讓家長了解和參與智萌的教學(xué)活動，為孩童的社會教學(xué)提供渠道。
Gem

Gem actively promote interaction between families and preschool, to guarantee
the education of integrity. By the Association between families and preschool,
There is a regular schedule for parents and teachers to meet, let parents
understand and participate in the teaching activities of Gem to provide a
channel for the social teaching of young children.
